The Indiana Recovery and Faith Conference is an annual statewide gathering designed to bridge both faith and secular recovery communities in the shared mission of addressing substance use and mental health disorders.

Launched in 2024 with its inaugural conference in West Lafayette Indiana, the event brought together faith leaders, recovery professionals, policymakers, and individuals with lived experience for the first time in Indiana’s history.

With worship, film, keynote addresses, and breakout tracks, the inaugural conference set the stage for a movement where faith and secular recovery leaders work hand-in-hand to build recovery-ready communities.

The purpose of the Indiana Recovery and Faith Conference is to:

  • Unite sectors - connecting churches, secular recovery providers, state/federal leaders, and people with lived experience.

  • Equip communities - offering tools, strategies, and resources for congregations and organizations to strengthen recovery supports.

  • Standardize Best Practices - increasing the access of education about programs, services, and resources that are positively impacting communities across the state.

  • Foster collaboration - creating new partnerships across systems of faith, health, and justice.

  • Build momentum - developing a statewide movement of faith-informed and recovery-driven leadership.

Looking Ahead: Year Two and Beyond

Building on the success of the inaugural year, the 2025 conference will:

  • Expand opportunities for faith and secular tracks, ensuring practical takeaways for both faith recovery leaders and professional recovery providers.

  • Feature state and national leaders alongside local innovators, continuing to spotlight Indiana’s role in advancing recovery-focused solutions.

  • Provide more networking and exhibitor space, strengthening connections across recovery systems, churches, and community stakeholders.

  • Deepen the focus on equipping faith based leaders, churches, and secular nonprofits to actively support families impacted by substance use and mental health challenges.

The Indiana Recovery and Faith Conference is no longer just a one-time event - it is now a growing statewide movement where faith, recovery, and community come together to bring hope, healing, and transformation to Indiana. Let’s grow together, Indiana leaders!
